Southernwinds danced - almost very litterally - into the clearing where she and her brother were training. He was slow, and brute, while she was fast, skillful. One would think it would be easy to determine a winner, but NorthernWaters' attack was a slowly pursuing one, which made it ever persistant.
She let out a high purr of laughter. "Common! You can do better than that can't you? Or was I mistaken?" She bounced backwards, and let out claws forewards, keeping NorthernWaters at bay.
"No!" He agued back, "You'll see! You're gonna get it!" He backed out of her obvious attack, and gave a single blow to her side, which she glanced out of.

You were once a prophecy cat. You got recognition, you were respected, even if just slightly. Now look at what you've become, you stupid hulking piece of piss! Shoulders trembling, a heavy weight landed on her shoulders, and the perfect foundation on which she had built her palace came crumbling down around her. With hard pangs ringing in her mind, she trotted around the clearing, looking for some familiar flesh, a comforting soul.

NorthernWaters started heading back to camp, slowly blocking and wriggling out of all her fast and furious attacks. It was an easy task to do. Soon they exchanged swipes just inside the camp. He laughed.
"You loose." He growled with pleasure.
Teh light-weight she looked around. It was true, he had luered her back into the camp. "Damnit." Her dark eyes circled the camp. "Guess you did...."

Eyes lighting as she found her next two targets, Ledgestep gleefully pranced over to Northernwaters and Southernwinds. "Hello, Northernwaters. Southernwinds." She nodded in respect as she said both names and clung to the solid Earth. Everything always felt so awkward when she spoke to other cats.

Northernwaters spread a wide, teeth showing smiled. Glad another cat was around besides his - not to menchin opposite - sister. And greeted a hardy hello. "Hey there! Didn't think you were around!" His dark pelt absorbed most of the sunlight that peeked around through the clouds, but a shiver ran down his spine. Wasn't she part of some grander 'scheme'?
Southernwinds on the other hand, gave a short respectful nod, and a small - feeling it was maditory - smile. She didn't get along well with others. The only cat she got along with was her - mouse-dung pice of - brother. She considered it 'the way she was' but Northernwaters called it her weakness. She knew he was right, so she tried her hardest to be nice to cats in the camp, and of other clans. "Ledgestep."

Tilting her head skywards, she searched for any signs of rain. Several gray clouds had formed overhead, threatening to burst. "What's new with you two?" Ooh, how clever. The patronizing voice at the back of her head spat out venom, thoroughly chastising her. She was keen to notice that Southernwinds's own awkwardness in the conversation.

"Not much, just doing the usual. Getting out, staying in... normal stuff." Northernwaters tried not to pry on anything too horrible, seeing as the she might take offence to it. They seemed to be overly-sensitive, she's did. One just never knows what directino they might go off into; their own little tangent of the moment. He stayed just as relaxed as he asked the same question to her, "And you?"
Southernwinds shifted her weight from side to side as he talked. Leaning on him, not, leaning, not. Finally she gave up. She paced around the camp, streaching her almost longer than normal legs out. Always moving. Always changing. It wasn't that bad, but it would be worse to go back than to go off alone.

Her whiskers twitched amusedly as Southernwinds grew restless, pacing back and forth. "She's not one for sitting still, is she? I'm fine. Been off in my own world for a while now." At least the conversation was going somewhere now. With a sigh, she watched as her breath came out in little puffs. She hadn't realized how cold it was until that point. Brows furrowing, she scanned the ground for any signs of melted snow. None that she could see.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that. She really doesn't like hanging around for more than two seconds." He laughed at his sister. It was something he had come to appreciate, but hate at the same time. As she looked at the ground, he noticed that it was , in the slightest - even more than normal - cold. Breath came out in puffy, smokey clouds. He knew that she was looking for snow, but wouldn't find any. It didn't feel wet enough for any of that today...

Nodding, Ledgestep didn't even pretend to understand it. Although, she had to admit, Southernwinds was an amusing character. "You don't have to apologize. It's her nature, I'm guessing." Gazing upward at the sky, she tried to will it to snow. If only a little bit fell--even just a bit--she felt that she would weep for joy.

"What are you looking for? Expecting StarClan to come down and materialize?" He laughed lightly at this joke; he didn't want her to take it all that seriously. "Wouldn't we all love that?" His dark coat shivered slightly at the thought of being among their sacred dieties. Wouldn't that be a miricle? His thoughts wanderd down paths, 'what would they say,' 'who would they talk to,' all the normal questions that one would think, were they talking to the gods.

Purring her amusement, she allowed her gaze to meet his. It usually felt so awkward for her; she could almost never bring herself to make direct eye contact. Yet, somehow, he was the exception. It wasn't infatuation or a romantic interest or anything of the sort, she knew; he just...put her at ease. "I'm trying to see if I can make it snow. The moisture's just what we need right now."

"Would you like my help with that? Two brains always seem to be better than one!" He smiled lightly at her ease, for most cats, betrayel had played a huge part in their lives, making it almost hard to interact with others. He looked up at the sky with his light eyes and concentrated so hard, his jaw locked itself into place.

He's a funny one! "Of course!" she chirped, feeling the slightest bit a pillock. Deep in the limited areas of the pine trees, a choir of blue jays and other winged creatures that she couldn't name chorused in cries of welcome and praise and bliss, all in one, all at once. There was no visible sorrow to their tone, as if they considered themselves immortal, above the dangers on the forest floor, above all dangers. The sheer force of joy now played directly in their favor.
