RainSong twitched his nose wondering why Duskfire seem to get so...well...y. Maybe it was linked to why her eyes seem to be gleaming with pride as she spoke until her head turn so he could not longer read the expression on her face. 'Winking?' he thought, 'What is she up too?' Sighing, he shook his head before both silver eyes turn to stare at InkBlotch wondering if his reaction was the same as his own, surprised. "She-cat...they never stop talking do they?" he said before chuckling softly though that was all he said for he was still trying to read the other's features searching for emotions and well...he had no idea what to say to his tom.

As the two toms were left to themselves, Duskfire began to mutter under her breath about the hypocrisy of misogynists. Brushing a stray strand of fur flat on her cheeks, she sprinted for the water source. With a bound, she clumsily tumbled down the moor area and just narrowly avoided falling into the river. Dusting herself off, she stepped back as if afraid that if she got too close she would drown, even in its shallow depths. Reflecting her frightened and exasperated features back at her, the river seemed to know a bit too much about her for comfort.

A gurggle of laughter left Inkblotch in a sudden rush of giddy-ness. "No," He said, still chuckling, "No I don't think they do." His pelt shifted with his ribs. A good sence of humor this tom had, Rainsong, that is. Shaking his head, he decided to sit, wraping his tail around his paws, like a human would do with their arms. His dark eyes twinkled with a smile.

RainSong smirked slightly nodding his head before tipping it back slightly noting how the tom's pelt was moving across his ribs showing he was giving a good full hearted laugh. 'At least he has humor.' he thought before sitting down himself, though his tail was still flicking about behide him as both silver eyes locked onto Inkblotch. "Yeah," he muttered really not sure what to say next or why he was at a sudden lost for words. It was quite strange for him.

Trying not to hyperventilate, she lowered her head to ravenously drink away her fears. Lapping up the precious resource, her dehydrated body begged her to never stop. Growing wearily wary, she leapt to her hindpaws and dashed for Clan territory. All the way, she barely stopped to breathe; her body seemed to be getting used to grand races. Perhaps it would save her from disaster someday. Wind rushing to clog her ears, she nearly choked on a swarm of locusts in the nearby area. Hissing, she came to a sickeningly harsh halt at the paws of Inkblotch and Rainsong.
"Miss me?" she asked, probably much to their chagrin. Flashing them a brilliant beam, she braced herself for a relentless bout of teasing. Toms--they never stop bothering you. This was true enough; she remembered the first time she had met Scaldburn, with his almost lifeless china-doll eyes piercing into her and endless surplus of questions. Most toms seemed to be doomed to behave like kits forever; it was lucky that someone as mature as she was there to set them straight.

With his dark pelt and dark eyes, Inkbloltch looked at the she in surprise. It halted his gurgling in about a second flat. the he looked t Rainsong, not sure what to say. But inkblotch noticed more than just a tom. The noticed the tom. It took him aback into shock. He'd never thought of toms that way, but then again, shes had never apealed to him in the slightest.

Eyes widening as she noticed the way in which Inkblotch furtively studied Rainsong, Duskfire inwardly nodded in understanding. It was a look that she had seen only a few toms grace other toms with. Their eyes, hungry for something that many thought was forbidden, grazed upon nubile bodies. She knew that it probably wasn't as uncommon as she thought and couldn't help but wonder how many she knew who had this secret longing. Shaking her head, she mentally scolded herself for prying into the affairs and minds of others. Who was she to act as though she had any great insight into love and its mysteries?

"Duskfire.... You got silent!" He cried, looking at the she exashperatedly, playing his study of Rainsong off as a quick glance. But she knew, and Inkblotch knew that Duskfire knew. He was surely fine with it, as long as she didn't tell anyone. Not a soul. Well, he doubted she had many people to tell, seeing that no one ever really seemed to be-friend the she-cat. Which was a pitty, after all, she was a very kind cat. He liked her, and her kindred spirit. It was something that most other she-cats - and toms, come to think of it - lacked. A smile grew on his maw, without him noticing.

RainSong shifted his weight before standing onto his paws not wishing to go on sitting there with a she-cat giving them looks as she tired to unlock the secerts behide himself well as Inkbloctch. Clearing his throat, both silvery eyes threw themselves from Duskfire to the black tom. "Care to go hunting anyone?" he asked as both eyes quickly looked towards the entrance of camp as he began more unsure of himself which inself was quite strange and he did not like the feeling much.

Licking her chops, the dark she-cat purred her contentment. "Mmm. So I have." Craning her neck to try to see what Rainsong was attempting to divert his attentions to, she came up empty-handed as far as black mail was concerned. The Clan entrance? Well, at least she knew that he wanted to leave. Dare she give this tom what he wanted; dare she leave him alone? No!, came the solidly-willed response from her head. "I'd love to go. If you don't mind, of course."

"Mind if I come along? I've been meaning to get out of camp recently." He stood lightly, giving the camp a once-over before pawing his way towards the enterance. That's right, just invite yourself, his inner consious snarled at him, and he happily responded to it with, Yes, I think I will. Maybe even Duskfire will leave me alone, and I can see what he's all about.... Now that was crazy talk, but who cared, honestly? All he had in his life was hope right? Maybe if he hoped hard enough.... He shook the crazy thinking away.

RainSong truly wanted Duskfire to randomly dissappear in thin air now for he had assume she was smart enough to spot the question was for another. Snorting, he turn on his heel though stopped himself from stalking off when he heard another voice. Glancing over, both eyes locked onto the black male with soften edges to his stare. "I don't mind," he replied flicking his tail before walking towards the camp entrance and into the heavy fog. Now at least his plan went somewhat in order, besides the mishap with Duskfire throwing herself into things once again. Snorting loudly, he dissappeared into the undergrowth.

Interesting. So, is he like him? Does Inkblotch wish that he was like him? These thoughts formed a maddening muddle in her membrane as she went off on her own course, allowing the two toms some privacy. Not enough for their liking, but privacy all the same. Keeping a close watch on them, she perched under a low-swinging branch of a birch tree. Something had to blossom; it was one of the rules of the forest.

RainSong notice that Duskfire had dissappeared, but how long will it last before she pressed her nose into his matter once again? Holding back a snort, he slowed his pace down allowing time for Inkblotch to catch up as his mind began to drift. 'Wonder if he...no....couldn't be...he is to kind for something such as...but then again...' He was lost in his own doubts and desires that were starting to build, though what was he to do? Sighing heavily, both eyes began to scan the forest floor looking for pray hoping it will take his mind off of things, though this mind trick was failing.

"Hmmm?" The question rang in his throat, heavy and concerned. It was directed at RainSong, whom had heaved a great sigh of surpression. A small hopeful smile spread his lips slightly, and his eyes crinkled. His dark pelt shivered as he thought about what the fine tom must have been thinking about. It looked as if dark thoughts were muddled in his bright eyes. And even though he was trying to cheer the beautiful tom up, a crease formed on his own brow. "What's bothereing you? Is it them? I'll chase those shes away all day to give you some privacy."
It was a stab into the darkness, but better than nothing. Of corse, there was no way that such a sweet looking tom as Rainsong would ever be interested in anything other than the most lovely she-cat. Even then, it could be a love from a far, just like admiring a star.
