Perched on his usual post at the furthest back corner of the camp, Billowcloud gazed in monotony at his dull surroundings. His duties as Clan deputy seemed too small in number these days. Tilting his head to one side, he watched as a plump robin alighted dangerously close to the medicine cat den. Scrambling to his paws, he gradually retreated into the hunter's pose.
Springing and landing swiftly on the nimble bird, he barely had time to think as it pecked him away and flew to the top of the den. "You get back here!" he crossly chastised. No doubt the other cats would think him insane. He didn't care, he realized. When you got to be as "old"--even though he was only two moons older than the youngest warrior and four moons younger than the oldest senior warrior--as he, your life was put clearly into perspective. With reckless abandon for all rationality, he wriggled his haunches and sprang. Snarling in rage, he quickly grabbled ahold of the bird and bit into its fleshy throat, attempting to end its misery as soon as possible.

Watching from under the great oak tree was a young silver tabby, bearly five moons into her warrior name for that matter. One side of her fac was hidden by the shadows, but that was normal sitting along the roots of the oak, but was so strange about it is that her left eye was not shimmering from the light that did dance down. Almost as if it weren't there. Tossing her head towards the side, she tried to ingore the sound the bird was making from the deputy's bite. 'Can't he just finish it off already?' Giving a heavy sigh, she placed her head down on her paws licking them softly as her thoughts began to drift off.
Just walking into camp was the young she-cat's sister, FernShadow. She was well known for her speach problem and being as shy as bugs. Both forest green eyes casted there sigh to the camp seeing a few she-cats whisper towards her, the same ones that always gave her a muzzle full of trouble. Snorting, she dropped her kill into the pile before walking towards a sunny part without any cats near by. Yes, the two sisters were never as social as they used to be. When your father dissappears and your mother is sitting in the medicine cat's den due to insanity, it was hard to be yourself.

Something caught his eye as he picked up the fallen prey by its plumage and carried its dead weight to the fresh-kill pile. Shaking his head, he sighed. Must be seeing things again, he thought.
Arriving at the somewhat meager little pile of daily catches, Billowcloud was just in time to find Fernshadow being gossipped about by some unsavory she-cats. Scoffing as he picked up on some of their words--"Have you heard about her mother?" "I know! She's some insane mass-murderer who spends all her time in the medicine cat den ranting about catnip." "And think: it must be a disappointment having a daughter who can barely speak without tripping over her own tongue." "Not nearly as disappointing as having a daughter who's not gone insane as early on as she did!"--he meandered towards the young she-cat. "Fernshadow," he began, "is anyone giving you any trouble?" His eyes narrowed at the troublemakers clustered nearby.

Fernshadow jumped slightly as BillowCloud spoke to her, breaking her from deep thoughts. Blinking a few times, the she-cat nodded her head flicking her burning ears flat agianst her head trying to block out the comments the she-cats were making. "I-I-I...No" Clearing her throat, the brown tabby licked her chest a few times out of bad habbit. 'Not like anyone would stop their flying tongues anyways.' The thought was very cold and harsh, something you think that a BloodClan cat would think, not this shy she-cat. Giving a heavy sigh, both shoulders rolled backwards with joint poping.

Head tilted slightly to the side, eyes wide, young warrior Flintspire say staring at the half-moon. Hardly a thought crossed his mind as he stared at it, transfixed. Its silvery-white light seemed to burn straight through his eyes into his brain, brining a warm sense of contentment as well as a small, nagging bit of confusion. Suddenly, a bird crossed between his eyes and the moon, breaking the spell. Giving a small shake to his head to clear it, Flintspire frowned. He felt normal enough. Perhaps moon-blinking was all a lie.

Flintspire was not the only one gazing at the moon with a transfixed gleam to her unblinking eyes. Though she broke the strange spell herself as she cut off the odd memories that were coming to her mind. Flashbacks were normal for anything that breathed on this earth, but was it normal to have flashbacks that weren't yours? Giving a heavy sigh, Rubyfaith pushed herself up into a standing postion before flicking her tail about, standing almost in a complete still houn form agianst the brisk winds that caused the trees to wince. The winds caused chills to run down her spine well as a thought of getting to warmth. Turn her gaze away from the starry sky, she padded into the thick undergrowth with a slight frown. The days were getting long and boring since she became a warrior and she could not put a claw on the reason why.

Tail held at a less-than-enthusiastic height, head following suit(e?), Flintspire cast his gaze around the near-empty RogueClan camp. He didn't feel like sleeping, not just yet, and he was bored. Sure, he could probably think up something exciting to do, such as scour the forest for loose feathers and then assemble his own wings out of them, but then what would he do tomorrow? He mentally cycled through the few days surrounding the current one, both past and present. Sighing, he decided the feathers would be best left off til tomorrow. It was too dark out in the forest, anyway. But he was bored. He needed some more random variables, something that he could not accurately predict. He could predict that the moon would continue its path along the sky, and that the stars would vanish as soon as the sun chased up behind them, still a long time away. He could also predict that if he went over to talk to Cobrafang, finishing his meal near the warriors' den, he would not have fun.
Then, he spotted Rubyfaith some ways away. Brightening up a bit, he trotted over to her. "Hello there!" he meowed.

Rubyfaith blinked wildly as a voice cut into her deep thoughts. Craning her head, both red toned eyes spotted Flintspire. Flicking her tail with delight, she stepped over to the tom giving him a friendly lick over the muzzle. "Hello flintspire!" she purred as warmth filled her eyes before taking a few steps backward giving the young tom his space. "How have you been?" she asked tipping her head towards the side before adding,"You haven't been wondering into other lands again what you?" The warrior's well known sly grin spread across her white muzzle. Ah yes, her trouble making self seem to pulling out of the deep hole it's owner had created.

Flintspire blinked at her. "Good," he replied to the firsts question, then nervously chewed on one paw, working a small bit of feather out of his claws. "Er, no," he mewed, and indeed he hadn't. Well, not that he knew of, at least. Not his fault if cats didn't mark their territory well enough. On the subject of marking territory, he'd always though that peeing on trees and spraying bushes and stuff was just stupid. "So," he mewed hastily to change the subject, "What you been up to recently?"

"Nothing much really," replied Rubyfaith as she batted playful at his paw. "Still haven't gotten out of that habbit? Ah well, I can't say much, I still run around pulling pranks like a young apprentice." Chuckling softly, the white she-cat sat herself down giving her chest a few quick licks with a slightly rough tongue. "I've mostly been doing my duties by sunhigh and spending the rest of the day and most of the night bored to death."

(( ah, thank'y, smart me didn't know it was 'color' instead of 'font'. ))
Flintspire nodded happily at her first remarks. Although he didn't mean to cause trouble, it still made him feel better to know that he wasn't the only one. As she continued speaking, though, he sighed, crestfallen. "You're bored too?" he'd hoped that Rubyfaith would have something interesting to do or say.
(must say, looks a bit more annoying than i'd hoped. as long as it doesn't bother anyone else, i'll keep it, though. you like?)

ooc//lol it's all cool
bic//"well of course," replied Rubyfaith,"When all you have to talk to is gossiping she-cats and stink in the mud toms, it's easy to become bored." Giving a light chuckle, she turn her bright gaze to Flintspire before tossing her head to the side in a careless matter. "It's good to know I am not the only bored in this lifless dump." Chuckling, she gave a heavy sigh before shaking her head.

Billowcloud didn't understand anything anymore. Fernshadow had ignored the she-cats' loud gossip/chatter and pressed on, even though he could see it hurt her to hear such statements murmured behind her back. Shaking his head, he pressed towards the clearing.
"Rubyfaith, Flintspire... Hello," he greeted. Dipping his head in respect, he felt his tail lashing restlessly on the ground. RogueClan had become monotonous over the last moon or so.

Fernshadow gave a heavy sigh as she looked away from Billowcloud not wanting to see the expression that might be filling his features. Pushing herself to her paws, she walked past the whispering she-cats towards the warriors' den with a sluggish pace. Both ears flickered for a moment before pressing against her skull. Maybe some sleep would help...
Rubyfaith turn her gaze to BillowCloud and blinked for a moment before she reliazed it was the deputy. Both eyes widen as she dipped her head. "Oh hello BillowCloud"

Nodding at virtually nothing, he instantly felt worn-down, old, and out of place. It had been a while since he had truly socialized with any younger cats (as he so liked to refer to them as). "Yes, hello. Have any of you seen anything around camp or outside of camp that seems off?"
