A long way from the truth

The sky was covered by the outreached branches of the trees above. The leaves from the trees casted shadows on the forest undergrowth. A soft breeze from the north shifted the grass making a soft rustle noise.

Agate simply sat still ontop of a rock which was directly below a large oak tree. The black-she cat found herself relaxed and calm, a rare time of tranquility. Deep inside she was getting stressed to find the rest of her siblings. Yes she did find her sister Pearl with the help of NavyBlaze but still their was Ivory Opal and Silver to find. Perhaps after she finds all her siblings she would go back to her mother.

Thoughts of her mother came back to her. Cancer, her mother, had left her so many times at an early age. Leaving in the middle of the night to leave the city and to go into the wilderness. Never had Agate questioned her mother's actions but still she always wondered why.

Snapping back to reality she turned her head to gaze over her shoulder. Where were they? NavyBlaze couldn't be THAT far! Nor Pearl could have gotten into trouble that soon

"NavyBlaze! Pearl! Where are you guys!?"

NavyBlaze just broke through the undergrowth when Agate started to howl towards them. Lifting a brow, he shook his head before sighing deeply. "We are right here," he said in a calm matter as he always did. Behide him came Pearl who was bouncing all about following a small butterfly that had hatched a bit to early. Both jade green eyes were locked onto it that she didn't bother to notice the butterfly was leading her straight towards her sister. NavyBlaze saw this and went to speak out, but it was far to late. Blinking wildly, he darted forward towards the sisters who seemed to be on massive pile of black and silver fur. Holding back a chuckle, he leant forward to see which leg belonged to which she-cat. "Need help?" he asked softly. Pearl's reply was a high pitch squeak as she started to twitch were she was. "Oh! I lost the butterfly!" she wince loudly like a kit who was wounded or hungery. Now NavyBlaze was sure she was metal at this point. 'How did she ever live in the dump and for so many moons is beyond me.' he thought to himself curling his nose slightly.

Everything went slow motion for her. She turned around to give NavyBlaze a nod of her head and then she heard her sister. Next thing she knew she was in twisted heap with Pearl. When Agate heard her younger sister talking about losing the butterfly she narrowed her eyes and began to yell at her.

"WHO GIVES A RATS TAIL IF YOU LOST THE BUTTERFLY!? GET OFF!!!!

Without a warning she began to kick Pearl off of her.

NightBlaze quickly leapt over the two she-cats before grabbing Agate by the scruff and began to jerk backwards. "Don't harm her!" he said trying to speak with a mouth full of fur. 'I didn't walk all this way to have you kill her.' He thought on a darker note which was strange for the easy going tom. Pearl hiss as she was kicked before trying to pull herself away from her sister and the flying paws. It hurt for her sister was clearly in some kind of rage for whatever strange reason. "Stop kicking me!" she mewed with her jade eyes large and round.

Agate's eyes widen as she felt the back of her neck being stretched and the tight hold of teeth on her skin. NavyBlaze was holding her by the scruff! Her eyes narrowed as she began to kick and sway.

"Let go of me!!"

She yowled, flinging her body side to side so he would let go. Though her flaying body slowly stopped as she saw the hurt look on her sister. Giving a light sigh she relaxed her body.

"Pearl I'm sorry but next time don't be stupid and crash into me. Ok? NavyBlaze may you please let me go?"

Nightblaze nodded and released Angate just as she asked before taking a step or two away from the she-cats before snorting slightly trying to get the hair of of his nose. Mumbling, he rubbed his nose into the grass not paying much mind to the two sisters. Pearl nodded her head before getting up looking at herside not seeing any blood, but she knew it hurt like mad. "Alright." she said before calming herself down slightly.

Agate smirked at Pearl before she went over to her sister and gave her a lick on her nose. "I'm sorry ok? Just thinking about things that happened in the past..." Agate said softly, mostly to herself. Her eyes moved from Pearl to NavyBlaze as she padded over to him and batted him lightly on his head. "So where off to?"

Pearl chuckled as she twitched her nose flicking her tail about in a playful matter before puffing her chest out slightly. Standing on all fours, she watched her sister bat NavyBlaze and smiled softly to herself before shaking her head. Turning on her heel, she looked around in the small feild for something else to chase after. NavyBlaze shurgged softly as he brushed his tail over Agate's ears. "Pearl did talk about a small forest beyond her dump and a small twoleg village were one of your brother's were." he said before straighting himself out glad he got the fur off of his face.

Agate let chuckles emit from her vocals as she saw Pearl run off to seek something else to chase. The black she-cat was aware that her younger sister would forever be a kit at heart. Her attention went back to NavyBlaze when she felt the brush of his tail over her ears. "Did she say which brother? Ivory or Silver?" She asked. She hoped it was Ivory instead of Silver. After all she was on good terms with Ivory unlike Silver.

NavyBlaze shurrged his shoulders softly before tipping his head towards the side trying to think of which brother Pearl talked about, but then again the metal she-cat rambled off so many names it was hard to tell. "I beliee Ivory,but I'm not sure. Guess we will know once we get there." he replied nodding in a matter of factly way. "Is that a problem?" he questioned

Agate stared at NavyBlaze for a moment before she let her head drop slightly. "To an extent it is." Wanting to change the subject the she-cat reversed the conversation onto him. "What about you, ever had problems with your sister?" Agate understood it was kind of a touchy subject for him but at the moment she didn't care. She didn't want to think of the last encounter with Silver. A nasty argument that ended with a few wounds.

NavyBlaze twitched slightly wondering why in the name of StarClan she brought that up. "We got along fine, but she said I was to shy and calm for my own good." He replied shurgging before bumping past Agate. "Come on! Lets go," he said putting on a fake grin hoping she could get the hint or be dense enough that she would go along with it without a question. He never liked talking about his dead sister nor his family for that matter. He did not want to be known as the grandson of the Silverclan leader that looked nothing like his parents nor his grandmother. Shaking his head, he flicked his tail about in a playful matter.

Agate understood the hint, she wasn't that oblivious! A light sigh tickled her lips as she followed behind NavyBlaze, leaving a distance between herself and him. Her head was spinning as she thought of NavyBlaze's situation. Having a sister and all of sudden she died? That would been rough situation with Agate if any of her siblings died even Silver! Lost in her own mind she wasn't aware where she was going until her body collide with NavyBlaze's.

NavyBlaze was back to check were Pearl ran off to until he felt something run into him. Stumbling forward, he caught himself and quickly turned around not to see the silver color she-cat but Agate with her dark wonderful smooth...wait a moment. It was just the same Agate with her black fur. Yes, that was it. Blinking, he craned his neck forward looking down at Agate with a puzzled expression as he blinked softly. "You alright?" he asked.

Agate fell onto her belly and quickly shook her head as she collide with NavyBlaze. She didn't mean to! She was so wrapped up in her own world that she wasn't aware where her paws were leading her. Quickly she jumped up to her paws took a few steps back and bowed her head. "I'm fine! I am so sorry!! I didn't mean to! You ok!?"
