Furrowing her brow tentatively, Moondream tried in earnest not to worry about the disappearance of her mate. Surely he was just hunting, out foraging for food beyond the streams, or going for a dip, or... or...? What else was there to do? Quit your fretting, old thing. It's fine, she inwardly scolded herself. With a long and sorrowful sigh, she held her breath at the last second in an attempt to relinquish all negative sentiments.
A gentle breeze swept over her after her moment of reflection, causing her to shudder in mild discomfort. Troubling her further, she bit into her lip, causing it to bleed three crimson drops, awakening something almost primal in her--an urgent frenzy of frantic tendencies coming. Her problems resurfacing, she watched as the drops seemed to almost tauntingly form a pool by her side. What do they know? What do they know of my suffering? Nothing. Nothing! Calm down!
Mrrow!ing it all away, she stumbled forward, paws shaking. She was trembling, and she was alone. "Oh what a sight I am," she mused aloud, not caring how mad she must sound to others.
Fretting now over her busted lip--if busted could even suffice for the state of her lips; must have been an exaggeration--she trod pitifully to the medicine cat den. Inquiring after some cobwebs, her soul wasn't quenched and dissolved of all guilt and worry until she was laying on her side, cobwebs absorbing some of the remaining blood like a bandage.
"Mommy!" The voice jarred her from her reverie and pity party.
Raising her brows in surprise, she did not rise as the pretty but timid young creamy she bounded toward her, hurdling over every obstacle almost comically, as if the world were after her. "Icekit, what's the matter?"
"Wh-where's Daddy?"
"I haven't the faintest idea. Why?"
"I-I-I had the dream again."
Eyes widening, she dropped low on all fours and crept closer to her daughter, tail reaching out like an extra arm and engulfing the young she, reeling her in like a fish on a line. "Stay here," she whispered. "When he gets back, we'll talk."

'When will they be done?' thought SunBeam as he lash his tail about in the air behide him with annoyance. It did not take that long to mark a tree. A faint growl rose up in the back of his throat before he watched the other warriors come out of the bushes. "Took you guys long enough,"he sneered. Now this cream color tom wasn't always so well....aggressive, just he never left his mate and only living kit for long. Not after that horrible day. It still burn in his mind and replayed across his beautiful eyes as if it were being preformed right before him. Swallowing a bit, he dipped his head before padding back to camp. 'I mustn't let my fears get in the way of my duties,' he said in his mind, but the only word that seem to engrave itself to his frontal lobe was 'fear'. Twitching his nose, he pressed his body through the tunnel entrance noting they had to fit a hole that was starting to form to his right flank before bursting out into camp. Inhaling the air deeply, he began to pin point just where his only means was sanity were. 'The medicine cat's den...' he thought then panic filled his guts ripping it apart at a full force. 'What happened!?!'
Without much thought of reporting the portal to BillowStar, SunBeam darted across camp towards ZombieGrail's den only to find is mate down low to ground with her tail curled around IceKit. He stood there for a moment collecting his thoughts figuring speaking with such fright in his voice would not help what just happen. Slowly snaking over, he gave a warm purr before pressing his muzzle against MoonDream's. "everything alright?" he spoke in a charming matter that any normal cat would take that he was fine that nothing was slowly eating at his mind. Others would see in his eyes the worry, the fear, and the sorrow. Parting his jaws, he caught the scent of blood. Twitching his tail, he remain calm, but the hair on the back of his neck started to stand on end.

Words. Words flowing like a waterfall, a never-ending waterfall, undulating, circling, enclosing tight space tight space tight space gasp gasp CAN'T BREATHE.
With a gasp, Icekit was brought back to reality. She knew that she had managed to successfully simultaneously frighten both mother and father. Struggling to force her heart rate down, she stared down at her front paws, now dirtied by the rough terrain she had traipsed. She could never stay clean for long.
Giving the kit a meaningful and pleading glance, Moondream ever-so gradually raised the tip of her chin upwards to the sky, up to where his eyes were. She was happy that her lip had ceased its incessant torrent of blood, but all too dismayed at the worry clear in his face. Their worries were killing each other. Cursing the day that she had let the kits out of her sight, she forced herself not to cry.
Prodding Icekit gently with her tailtip, she nodded and gave her a stern but loving gaze. A gaze that said In your own time. As long as your own time is today.
Gulping, Icekit's eyes were widened orbs of unspoken consternation. "I... had the dream again. The one where I'm drowning..." Avoiding meeting Sunbeam's eyes, she continued to study her paws in feigned fascination.
At last, Moondream brought her eyes to her mate's. "I was sick with worry about her. And you. You're not usually out this long. I kind of bit into my lip a bit, and it started bleeding. That's why you may smell it. And that's what the cobwebs are for." She weakly smiled as best as a cat can, and tried to laugh it off, an awkward chortle cutting through the stillness.

SunBeam sat there looking onto IceKit with a great amount of concern and in depth studying. He saw the why she moved her body, how her eyes kept looking down at her paws not wanting to show her mother or himself the fear that his dream terror gave her. If only it were just a horrible nightmare that it never really happen. Things would be so much simpler if this was all some cruel joke that some nerve made within his brain over some crow-food he ate with by mistake. He would have swirled faster into a more depressing hopeless longing state if it weren't for the sweet voice of his mate.
Both eyes snapped off of IceKit and turn to Moondream noting the bite wound her inflected upon her self. "I'm sorry," he replied back pressing his nose to her cheek. "It took a bit longer to portal the borders today." Reassuring her, he drew his pink tongue over her muzzle a few times as he let his tail curl over her back in a make-shift hug. Ripping his gaze from the cream color queen, he looked down at IceKit with remorse yet a fatherly love in his beautifully strange color eyes. Craning his neck, he nudged her slightly with his nose. "It is alright little one," he said licking behide her ears. "We won't allow that happen again to you with all that is catly possible. Alright?"

ooc: Awww, cute! I like it, and will use it someday.
bic: "Please don't worry over me too much," she murmured quietly, barely audible. At this, her mother gazed down at her, deep blue eyes ignited with a fast fury at whatever supernatural being was tormenting her helpless ward and charge, her very flesh and blood, the result of her love, her undeveloped bud! StarClan above, what was this punishment?
"Icekit, we as your parents will always worry about you. And Sunbeam is right; we will do anything we can to protect you." She fixated her gaze on him, grateful for his vow and embrace, filling him with her own warmth. She couldn't help but wonder, all the same, who would worry about Mommy? Who would tell her that she was being irrational?
Sunbeam had always been kind beyond belief, but he was not in the best of mental states, just as they were. He would be no greater help than herself or her kit. Rubbing tails, she pressed her nose to his and then Icekit's. Purring contentedly, or as contentedly as she could for the time being, she maintained her composure. Over time, she knew she would melt into this persona, and it would become all the much easier to truly be happy and free. For now, she just had to believe.
Silence entailed. Birds chirped and warbled their peace, but it only agitated the young cream-colored she. Grumbling, a rumble escaped her throat. "I wish I were old enough to go hunting!" she cried, instantly covering her mouth with a giggle.
Moondream cast an anxious glance toward Sunbeam. "Well, someday, Icekit. Now, what did you dream of?"
The kit was struck silent again. "I'll tell you later. Specifically. I need to eat first. Could one of you get me something to eat, please?" She was sure to make her eyes as wide and innocent as possible. It always worked.

ooc//I feel really rusty compare to you xD hahaha
bic//SunBeam felt the warm come off of MoonDream and a spark of peace hit him for what seem like a numb trance. Pressing his pelt against her's he watched his two she-cats speak to one another and studied their motions. He had to figure out how to get them out of this hole they were thrown into. Cats died every day and living in fear would not help them over come the horrible event that happen, no matter how recent it was. Still for now he could live in this moment that felt like they were a normal family. MoonDream wasn't lurking over IceKit like her second shadow and IceKit wasn't jumping and howling at everything that moved.
Yes, they would be able to heal. It was only a matter of time. 'Hopefully these periods of peace will last longer,' he thought on a mixed feeling note before noticing the eyes that IceKit was making. Smirking he rolled his shoulders slightly before standing up to his full height with a gleam in his eyes. "How about I show you how to catch dinner?" he asked as a devilish smirk grew across his lightly battle worn muzzle. He knew that behide the appearance's den was a dirt mound that was home to a family of vole's. They weren't the brightest pray he caught sight of, but weren't the dense. It was perfect for IceKit.

ooc: Haha, thanks, but so do I. It's been a while since I've had to get into a cat's mind. o.o
bic: Now it was Moonbeam's eyes that widened. "Sun-beeaaaam!" she drew out his name, wagging her tail at him, scolding as one would a newborn. Ears flattening, she purred, not wanting to admit to herself that she liked the mischief he was up to making. "Your father was just teasing, dear," she attempted to explain to the eager kit.
"I don't caaaare!" whined the impatient kit. "I just want to eat!"
Sighing, the she nudged her offspring forward. "Go on, then. Just stay close to Sunbeam, and don't you dare go further on your own!"
"I won't!" the foolish young thing promised, overcome with mounting joy.
How quickly they grow. Rising to her haunches, she prepared to stalk the two, waiting for them to go just out of sight and reach. A glint of mischief entered her own eyes. They can have their fun, and I can have mine, she mused. Yes, that was fair.
Billowstar stuck his head from out of his den, eyes stony and feeling half-blind. I'm old, he mechanically thought. It had been ingrained in his mind for the longest time; it was a simple fact of life that he had merely come to understand. Had he any offspring, he would have surely thought to bestow upon one of them the enormous task that he--for his lack of breeding progress--would have to choose a newcomer for. Scanning the clearing, he was able to quickly weed out the weaker of the Clan members. Stripes of faded silver entered his vision. There was an eye of ice, and one of water. Two great elements combined. The water to thaw the ice. Squinting into the distance, he let out a howl of surprise and delight. Of course!
Leaping as ceremoniously as he was capable up to High Rock, he cleared his throat, preparing to become a loud and booming force to be reckoned with.
"Cats of RogueClan!" he cried, voice low and resonating, laden with a charismatic vibrato. "Gather before High Rock! Dip your heads in respect for the deputies lost to combat and noble causes. Allow yourselves to reflect over these losses. They were brilliant shes and toms. We shall hold a moment of silence, a vigil."
He let the wind pass by him, head bowed in respect. "Alright. I would live to linger and dwell within the comforting confines of the past, but we must move forward to make progress! And on this day, I Billowstar elect Fadedsong to serve as Clan deputy.
"Here is a she who time and time again has proven herself to be a capable and resourceful individual. She has been marked physically to show her greatness. She wears her countenance with pride. Therefore, we shall hail her with pride. Fadedsong!" Gesturing for the young she to venture forward, his lips twinged just the slightest for her.

ooc// I know what you mean xD hahaha
bic//"It it just behide the apprentice's den Moonbeam," replied Sunbeam before he gave his mate a reassuring nudge before nuzzling into her neck slightly. "She'll be fine, trust me." Giving a grin, much as a cat could do, he turn to Icekit and flicked his tail across her nose. "ready?" he asked, though before he could step over the impatient kit, BillowStar's voice bellowed through out the clan. Blinking, both ears pressed forward listening to the commands. Leaning down, he picked Icekit up by the scurf and padded out of the Medicine Cat's den before sitting down and placing the kit down with him. 'A new Deputy, it's about time.'
"FadedSong," whispered a brown striped she-cat as she pawed at her younger sister trying to get her to wake up. "FadedSong," she mewed louder. Still nothing. "FADEDSONG?!" she howled. Fadedsong jolted out of her sleep and looked around with her only eye wide as could be. "Come on sleepy head, BillowStar is calling us to High Rock." mewed FernShadow with laughter in her eye before she turn and padded out of the warriors' den.
Sighing a bit FadedSong got up and shook her pelt a bit trying hard not to think of her dreams. They were filled with the images of the two toms she had ever open her heart to, and they were both gone. These dreams only ever came when she was extermly tired as she was due to last night's battle with loners she had sent OceanClan's way. 'Should warn them, but they live on the island now so it wouldn't bother them,' she thought before padding out of the den and sitting with her clan mates looking up at High Rock. Every meeting he called, her stomach would turn into knots hoping he would pick the new deputy, but never did. It was her dream, but she always felt some of the other warriors were more worthy than her.
Then it happen. The whole clan fell silent, not a tree move, not an eye lid blink. Pupils were all staring at her. Some with disbelief, others with aw, and many with disgust. The silver tabby felt her body shake from joy well as fear. Slowly rising to her paws, she padded forward with her head held high showing her scarred face. The missing eye, her ear that was barely even there. The scars that were deep, some that were just barely at the surface of her skin. These scars were not battle scars, they were scars given by a clan mate that had been dead for moons now. Most figured they were from battle anyways, but she let them believe what they wanted.
FernShadow looked about at her clan almost wanting to claw out their eyes right then for their behavior. Shaking her head she began to cheer for her younger sister and soon others began to follow in her lead. FadedSong felt her face burn. Licking her jaws she stood at the bottom of High Rock and looked up at BillowStar and her mind went blank. 'oh Starclan I forgot what I'm supposed to do...'

As senile as he felt, there was something renewing in vigor about catching sight of all of the otherwise lonely and scared faces bursting to flame and light and life before him, like forest fires, kindled under his influence. Being leader had never been easy, but it had its perks, one could definitely say. His senility all but completely dissolved when he witnessed Fadedsong's stunned coil, eyes giving way to no depth, heat emanating from her pelt.
There was an awkwardness to her that he couldn't quite place. Perhaps she was merely nervous. Shrugging, he would try to make her feel welcome. Purring in amusement, he leaned down over the stone's ledge and whispered with the slightest teasing edge to mask a sense of urgency: "Now is the part when you clamber up and accept your role." Tail flicking, he tilted his head in gesture toward the rock's very top.
Meanwhile, Icekit watched in fascination as the meeting proceeded. The inner workings of the Clan were still a mystery to the young she, and she found herself looking questioningly at both parents. Moondream was oblivious, however, enraptured by Billowstar's words and made even more content by Fadedsong's rise to power.

FadedSong nodded her head sharply when BillowStar lowered his body to whisper the small tip to her. Swallowing, she gave him a look of gratitude before leaping up onto High Rock. Once balance, she turn her body to face the clan before licking BillowStar's shoulder. "I accept this role and I shall do all that is physically possible to help our clan and to protect what Starclan has given us," she said out loud so the clan would be able to hear before turning her gaze to the her clan mates. She felt a sense of power like no other. Before she felt weak because of her scars and missing eye, but right then she felt like she had both eyes again. She felt as if she could see everything once more. Though most importantly she felt beauty rush through her body. Something she hadn't felt in years.
Purring she held herself with more strength as her mind became at ease. The nerves settled down and her mind was clearing from the fog of doubt. She wanted this ever since she witness her father CloudStar perform similar gatherings. She felt as if this was her calling to lead her clan so show anything is possible, but her next goal would have to wait. She knew it was not her time to take BillowStar's place. He had just begun and she felt great things ahead for him, strangely enough.
SunBeam glanced down at Icekit and spotted the questioning expression on her face. Smirking he leant down and put his muzzle neck to his daughter's ear. "What is it?" he asked,"Do I need to explain anything?"

"By StarClan's will do I grant Fadedsong the title of Clan deputy. If StarClan has any objections, I shall hear its warnings." He gazed upwards into the sky, as if into the eye of a storm. Eyes wide, he waited for twelve heartbeats before bowing his head in respect.
"StarClan seems to hold no objections. Congratulations, Fadedsong." Twining his tail with hers, he gave her the warmest of greetings before dismissing the assembled cats and descending the stone ledges as if they were steps leading down to a place of better things to come, better sights to see.
Blinking, Billowstar came almost into a sudden swerving collision with what he guessed to be the anxious Moondream and Sunbeam's kit. Frowning a bit, his eyes turned to narrow slits as he turned his vision on her. Sensing a fear and curiosity in her, he allowed his features to soften before gently leaning down. "I'm sorry. Perhaps there was an intended meaning for our running-into."
Turning his sights on Moondream and Sunbeam, he nodded respectfully. "You're both looking well! Just a tad bit worried, I presume? Don't worry--you're both doing splendidly as parents! And as warriors!" He hadn't meant for it to sound like an afterthought. He winced, hoping that his true intentions had been spotted.
Nodding with a strange new forlorn sensation emanating from her figure, Moondream gently flicked the kit on her head. "She's a curious one." She seemed to echo his thoughts.
"Yes, yes. And a beauty like her mother."
Moondream blushed at this, feeling her cheeks grow warm.
"Sunbeam, may I speak to you alone for a moment? I'll only need him for a moment," he explained to Moondream as if she would possibly object to such a thing.

FadedSong glanced towards the skies watching for Starclan to see if they would reject BillowStar's choice and found a small bit of her was hoping that they would. She figured all cats much have felt like this when chosen to be deputy. It was a huge step from just being a warrior, more so for she-cats. She never truly wanted kits, but it had always been a small hope, but it would never happen now for two reasons. Her potential lover was gone, disappeared off the face of the earth and she was deputy. This whole clan was per say her kits alone to protect and train. Strange as it may be.
When no sign was shown, a bit of hope came into FadedSong's face that maybe her life was going to go somewhere instead of the endless self beating and the long horrific days. Giving a faint smile, she pressed her nose to BillowStar's shoulder before leaping down padding over to her sister who ran over to her showering her with licks. "I'm so proud of you FadedSong!" said FernShadow as she nuzzled her sister's cheek making the newly appointed deputy's pelt flush with embarrassment. "fernShadow," studded FadedSong.
SunBeam looked towards BillowStar and gave a soft nod listening to his leader hoping he was not mad about Icekit, and was surprised when the leader tired to give them nice remarks. Perhaps he felt guilt about what happen? Who knew. He pressed his pelt against MoonDream's pelt when BillowStar stated she had great beauty and he didn't know why he felt threaten, but he did. Though that faded when BillowStar wanted to speak with him. Blinking he nodded his head. "Of course," he replied before giving MoonDream a reassuring lick on her muzzle. "It will only be a moment, then I'll be back."
