She tried it again.
For the second time, Lunalight had attempted to runaway from BloodClan out of her anger. The more time she spent in the confines of the territory, the more she thought and planned it.
‘Useless.’ That very word of malice that the vicious raven crowed at her before she joined BloodClan echoed through her mind, but unlike an echo it seemed to increase in volume. Being scarred like that as a kit could very well have major long term affects, and, well, they certainly did.
So here she was, slipping through the camp entrance after making sure not a soul detected her retreating form. The sky was bleak and strong winds rocked the trees from side to side. The heavy scent of rain was quite hard to miss, and Lunalight took her opportunity as cats began to recede to the safety of their dens to escape the storm’s wrath.
The half-blind she-cat was determined to move to the edge of BloodClan territory in a mad, but silent dash. And here she was, trotting over the damp earth, the winds pressing her fur against her sides. Her ears were flattened against her head, but her eyes were narrowed slits.
The border came into plain view of the she-cat and a breath of relief escaped her. However, as she began to step forward, the bushes beside her rustled violently, and a scent blasted Lunalight. The scent of fox.
It stepped out of the cover of vegetation, snarling and snapping its jaws and lunged straight for her. Lunalight met it head on with a gasp of surprise, but felt herself thrown back by its strength. It was a healthy, huge, male fox and the she-cat had no energy to fight.
In simple terms, she was fighting a losing battle.
She could feel as its long, sharp teeth cut into her back leg. A sickening crack and a feeling of complete numbness washed over her hind leg and a few seconds of agonizing pain later, Lunalight could tell it was beyond repair. In her fury she leapt for its face, successfully getting a splatter of blood from slashing the bridge of its muzzle.
However, that had only made the fox angrier and it lunged for her neck. It jaws wrapped around her throat and the she-cat could feel the warm blood mixed with fox saliva as it began to pour around her in a pool.
Lunalight screeched in an attempt for finding help, and she tried to claw at the foxes chest. It let go for a mere second, but it was enough time for Lunalight to whirl onto her stomach. Much to her dismay though, she was picked up like a kit by the fox from the scruff. Before it would damage her any further, however, she gave a last strangled caterwaul in a desperate plea of help.
Her time with BloodClan made her weak.
She blinked as the fox started vigorously shaking her back and forth in a whirl of russet and black fur. All the while, unrelenting water droplets began to spill from the heavens, washing the bloodstained ground and soaking the two struggling creatures to the bone. A deep rumble from the grey storm clouds, lightning cackling through the skies, and a cat who had given up.

The lightning lit up the sicking event below, covering anyone’s eyes who might watch the unfair battle with a flash of white. The Rumble shook the ground with ease making creatures of all sizes to dart towards the nearest den or shelter to get out of the unforgiving rain. Any smart being would have taken all the clues nature was giving to the forest and kept inside, though clan duties always came first no matter what. So it was that an evening portal was stalking through the undergrowth quickly making their way around the lands, though it was useless scent the rain would have washed away any scents of intruders. Leading the group of five was an ash color tom who was soaked to the ground as was anything in his light of sight. A gust of wind caused the tall tom to snap his neck towards the side as both ears pressed themselves forward. Fox. Blood. LunaLight. An uneasy feeling arose in his stomach, though the growls and snarls coming from behide him told him without an uttered word that his clan mates were ready to fight for a battle for a fallen warrior or an wounded. As another lightning bolt pulled itself across the sky, HlojhrSpeech dashed off into the undergrowth. Paws beating against the muddy ground painting anything in the range of the droplets brown. Both red eyes narrowed in a dangerous matter as their owner left the other eyes full of rage far behide. To the point where the other cats could not pick up his scent nor strange body shape. As thunder boomed, the tom leapt from the protection of the bushes to face the fox with a gleam of pure rage flashing across his soaked body. The tuff of white and black hair was hugging close to the face covering on eye leaving the other to be seen and all of it’s glory. The hybrid was ready to fight this beast that dared to touch his mate. Reason? Well, Love was a rather strange thing.

Like sickening laughter, lightning crackled overhead, illuminating brief scenes of a morbid battle. With each passing second the rain droplets grew larger and fell with much more force. There were many scents coming from this one clearing, and one of the most distinguishable was blood.
Lunalight struggled in the fox’s grasp, completely unaware of her mate’s presence. She was startled to meekly upon her eyes and find the fox releasing her and turning to look over its shoulder. Lunalight was too weak to look at whatever grabbed its attention, but still she took the opportunity to drag herself with three very weak paws and into a bush for cover. Ever so slowly she began to suffocate, the damage done to her throat taking its tool. She had been left to drown in her own pool of blood.
The fox pulled its lips back and snarled at the rather large and unhappy looking tom. The she-cat was probably his mate, but how he found the scent of blood this far into BloodClan territory was beyond him. Blood dripped off its teeth and spilled onto the ground, a sight that could make many creatures shudder and shrink away in fear. The canid wasn't about to give up his prey to this cat, but silently, he thought the she-cat would put up more of a fight.

The tom curled back in own lips revealing his own set of canine like teeth that curled backwards as a wolf would do. Stalking forward, the rage and pain that was building within his stomach seem to have burst for the cat was apond the fox crying out with a fierce snarl that would cause any kind of breathing creature to duck and run away. He was not going to be shown down by this pitiful fox that was dripping with the blood of his beloved. Her wounds, every last one would be painted across this fox’s pelt twice over until he felt that the fox had learned it’s lesson if it was not dead.
The fox was foolish to stand there with a y stride that left it’s chest open for any bites or claws which it was given. Claws sank deep into the warm skin of the fox as two powerful jaws were sent in an upwards trust towards it’s jaws. HlojhrSpeech’s wrath seemed to be one of a wolf as anyone would have known unless they were to dense to see the shape of his body, the curves of the joints that were covered in powerful muscles that were slightly beating and twitching to keep their master on his hide legs. This let the tom’s eyes become even with the fox’s as a curl smirk spread across the cat’s waterlogged muzzle.

Lunalight gasped out in a desperate attempt to suck in oxygen, but found her body convulsing and a warm goo trickling down her maw. She didn't have to see it to know it was blood. The red liquid stained her ragged pelt in splotched patterns. Her unsheathed claws scrapped across the ground, tearing up roots and grass with each stroke. Her time was up. Her life would soon be ending and she had already taken her last breath. She was falling six feet under.
The fox was frozen in sheer shock as the tom pummeled him and tore his pelt to pieces. He really didn't make the cat too happy with his choice of prey, but still he struggled to free himself of the raging feline and dash for cover. This cat fought like no other, but then, he didn't really look all that much like a pure-blooded cat. He seemed almost lupine in appearance.
As Lunalight struggled for air, she felt the life being drained out of her. She would be visiting DeathClan very soon. She didn't even get to say goodbye, but then, she never planned to since she was running away anyway. And that was when everything went black and all senses the she-cat once felt seemed to dissappear. No more smell of blood, no more rain falling into her eyes, no more thunder, no more pain, no more feeling a bloody pool beneath her paws.

The tom fell face first into the ground smudging and most likely bruising his muzzle. Craning his neck, both red eyes watched the fox dash off for cover, he did not bother to even waste anymore of his strength. Groaning slightly from the hard impact into the ground, the tom notice how deathly still it was. Both eyes widen with fright as the muscle held within his chest begged at the top of it’s soundless veins for the cat not to look. Though it was far to late and part of him if not all of the tom wished he had listened. There laying in a heap was his beloved who’s fine hair were swimming within a pool of her blood. Both eyes began to burn. Something they had never done before or at least that his memories could tell him. Pulling himself up, the tom stumbled to LunaLight’s side. Both front legs were slightly placed at more than shoulder width apart as the slightly fluffy tail often waved about as a banner of pride sank between his legs.
“LunaLight…” he whispered.
All four knees buckled under their owner’s weight causing him to fall and splatter blood across the male’s muddy ash fur well as the fallen she-cat’s. Both pupils darted to every point on LunaLight’s body trying to remember it all when it was not worn, torn, and stain. A whimper escaped from the tom as he pressed his muzzle into the back of his mate’s neck. A place he would often place it if they had the chance to sleep together. A pink tongue rolled out of his jaws that parted softly allowing the muscle the room it needed. Soon it was licking behide the she-cat’s right ear in slow steady motion. All the while the tom was breaking within. Everything seem numb as the freezing rain continued to beat apond the forest.

A heavy, wistful sigh escaped Lunalight as her departing spirit looked down at her mate and now dead body. She had died in her own pool of blood and killed by such an unfair creature and during the wrath of a storm. Well, at least she had a chance to say good bye.
From where she levatated, Lunalight landed on the ground beside Hlojhrspeech. She cuddled against his side, trying to comfort both him and herself. "Hlojhrspeech, please do not bring my body back to BloodClan. I was never truly a Clancat. Do not tell them of my demise, and especially do not tell Howlpaw and Bonepaw. Just claim that you do not know what has happened to me. Take care of those two, they will be needing your support greatly." She whispered in his ear, although it must have sounded like it was just the wind tickling them. The she-cat paused, and started to continue. "Search the Wolf Lands for Aurorapaw's body. She will join DeathClan very, very soon. And, I'm sorry for all the trouble I put you through. Just remember, I love you, Hlojhrspeech." And with those last wishes, her presence vanished.
She was joining the ranks of DeathClan.

Hlojhrspeech could not hear the voice of his mate, only cursed as he felt what he thought was the cold wind beat agianst one side of his skull. Curling his body around his dead mate, he tried with all of his might to keep himself together, but was failing. "LunaLight...why did you fall apart in these last six moons? Was it something I did?" he asked as he nuzzled his muzzle into the cold lifless body. "I..I didn't mean too if I did." he said now with both eyes gleaming with tears. Pressing his muzzle deep into his mate's neck, he whimpered again, but this time like a helpless kit. "Don't leave me." he begged as he started to nudge her skull with his muzzle. "You were the only one who understood..." No the tom was completely losing it. Was talking to a dead body and acting like a stupid kit. It was indeed his lowest point he had ever dropped too.
