There FadedSong was listening to the she-cats chit chat about how they were going to give birth to grand littler of kits so they can help the clan. Rolling her head, she nodded listening to them in disgust, but she didn’t dare say anything against the matter. For whatever reason, she-cats in this clan were harsh and rude if you went against the common ideas. Her eldest sister, FernShadow, faced that problem. Blinking her only eye, she looked towards the entrance thinking about her days as a young kit, before the attack. How she would look up at her father with awe and wonder. She told him at least a hundred times she wanted to be clan leader like him, though when FlowerScent attacked her a day after her apprentice training had started, her dream was thrown away like a useless leaf. “FadedSong!” cooed a near by she-cat. Jerking slightly, she turned her strange color eyes to the she cat that called out to her, though really wished she hadn’t. “We have a small question.” Another she-cat asked. ‘Oh Great Straclan!’ thought the scarred she-cat crossly. “What is going on between you and RavenFeather?” If she had two eyes, they would be wide as the full moon. Her pelt grew warm as both ears flickered about wildly. “Well….um…I don’t know…” she replied. At once she wished FlowerScent made her deaf for the squeaks and sounds the she-cats were making were louder than a kit’s. Groaning, she looked back to the entrance watching the rain come down in pure sheets. Yes, it was just another rainy day in RougeClan, though this rain was far to heavy to do anything but sit and gossip. Though this gossip did bring her to one reasoning, she cared far to much about one tom to even think about becoming clan leader.
Within ZombieGrail’s den, FernShadow was sitting beside a rather ragged pile of hairballs, though truly the hairballs was a cat. An old she-cat by the name of Bluewater. The brown she-cat looked at her mother with a lost gaze to her light green eyes. Was she to share the same fate as her mother? Just sitting in a sickly matter for rest of her life until she finally faded? Hearing the she-cat move, the warrior quickly jumped to her paws not wanting to hear her mother’s long speeches. Though pity took over her as she watched the once strong, brave, and bold Bluewater bearly move her head without groaning in pain. “Mother?” she questioned. “…yes?” gasped the silvery she-cat. “…best of wishes…” FernShadow muttered as she padded out of the den into the sheets of rain.
