Sakura shot a glance at Ray. It wasn't a glare, nor a delightfully happy look, but a spark of recongnition did settle in her irises. Her pelt shivered as the air shifted and sent a flute of his sent up her nostrills. It wasn't as if he smelled bad, just she was displeased that his sent still compelled her at all. "Hey," she said quitely, "how are you?" Small conversations lead to bigger ones eventually, so she decided to work on the building blocks of their slowly falling relationship.

He didn't know what was up with her eyes and what was down with his. Disparaged and discouraged, he glanced anxiously at his sheathing and unsheathing claws, tracing imprints into the soil. "Sakura," he tasted the syllables that made up her name, the "ah" tickling his soft palate, swooping in from afar like a great bird of prey. "Erm... I'm fine, I guess. I don't really know what to do with myself." He looked off into the distance at nothing in particular. "Sometimes I think that I should just leave this place behind, you know? But I know... I know that I could never leave you. You're one of the only cats here that can stand me." Chuckling under his breath at the last phrase, he thought of all of his past love affairs. How they had all gone wrong. They always found out; that was his problem.

She hadn't been looking directly at him, but now her hold head snapped in his direction. Leave? A sudden wave of dissiness hit her, making her legs tremble. That couldn't be right. She needed him here. Leave? He couldn't leave. Words chocked in her throat. And the big one pushed its way out above everything she suddenly felt the urge to scream. "Leave." Sakura breathed deeply, her faintly scared sides bulging with air. And as soon as she sighed, words that she didn't ever think she coudl speak again flowed easily from her tongue. "Ray, I love you. If you want to leave, then I can't stay here. If you leave, then I'd have to go somewhere else. Doesn't it make sense for me to go with you?"

At first, he thought that she was commanding him to go. Swooning but not. She was okay by herself; any fool could see that. Sighing as her words soaked in like saturated fat, he stuck his tongue out, heat settling into his suddenly thick pelt. When had those hairs started to sprout along his neck? Hyperventilating, he tilted his head to the side as sweat rolled down his back, eying her carefully like a fire alarm. How would she crack, if at all? He could see the sincerity burning like brimstone in her eyes, and he realized that he had no other choice. "You can come. But you can't question me. And we have to get as far out of sight as possible. We have to cover our scents, hide our tracks. Become new cats. Maybe live up in the mountains. Can you handle that?"

"Anything that you can, I can too." She said it with the hope that it was true. She wouldn't let him go, and she would do the best she could so he would not want her to leave. "We can go now, even if you want. No one's around. That would make it easy." For her anyways. She wouldn't want to have to say goodbye to Takuya. the fear was slowly leaking out of her. She was a sand bag with the smallest hole. Were they to set out today? She hoped so. Something new and fresh would be nice, insteaed of living here with her half families that fed her dry kibble.

Phlegm rose to cover his vocal cords. Clearing his throat, he shifted anxiously, his paws tingling as he imagined the bold trek that they would have to undertake. "I can be out of my house and completely ready to go once the sun starts to go down. That's when they're the least alert, and besides, I want to say good-bye." Surely she wished to do the same. It never even crossed his mind that perhaps all she wanted was to leave as quickly as possible, turn over a new leaf and forget her old life. Abandon the monotonous conveniences of everyday existence, discarding it like a rotten apple. Everything on the doorstep to wither and whimper. But they would not heed its pleas. No.

"Oh." She stopped short. She hadn't thought that he would want to say goodbye, after all that had happened to him here. Who was left, besides his daughter now? Would he soon betray her too, here in the rotten place? Down to the core, this place had gone bad. It was something she knew that she wanted inside to move on, but if he was to say goodbye to others he cherished, so be it. She would wait, and wait, until thy yonder sun drowned against the pale sky, being swallowed by the vain, jelous moon. "Well then," she continued softly. It was nearly that hour anyways, there would be no time to waste. Pride swelled in her chest, beating against her ribs as a fluttering dove. They would be off soon, and they would both finally be at some sort of peace with themselves. "I'll have to tell Takuya I'm leaving for a while. He'll be seriously confused if I don't." She hopped away, her pads barely gracing the ground with her soft touch.

Nodding, he recognized the awkwardness of the situation, and he wouldn't try to persuade her to wait. Why should she have to wait for him? Everything was a drug-induced blur. Too much catnip. Groaning, as he clutched at his side, he pushed his head into his chest to catch his breath. Inhaling and exhaling as gradually as he could, the air tickling his soft palate and coating his vocal cords, he struggled not to collapse. Green surrounded him in a jungle sea. It was all too unbearable but necessary, vital to his role in the play, he realized. Honestly, he wasn't even sure if he wanted her to go with him. It would be agony to always look into her eyes and know that he had done her wrong--her sister, the broken heart, his own broken heart... Nothing was working out, and it wouldn't get better if he ran away. But he felt giddy, a sudden spring to his step, a rush. Blood-curdling, it caused him to shiver a bit as he tore into his house to mewl fondly at his owner and rub against his thigh.
The Twoleg was asleep, his large mass crashed and sprawled on the sofa. Crinkling his nose at a foul odor coming from the house, the tom shrugged and leapt up to rest in his arms. He would lay there for another two blissful hours. He wished that this was how it could always be. But he knew that the time had come to pass.
After what felt like only seconds, he landed gracefully on all fours on the wooden flooring, wincing a bit as his paws hit too hard. Creeping flat on his stomach, he wormed his way through the cat flap and out into the blazing but slowly sinking sun-soaked neighborhood.
Iecerin was impatiently pacing across his backyard, eyes glaring daggers at whatever she could find. Settling on his frame at last, she hissed a rather lovely string of slurs as a greeting. "What do you think you're doing, abandoning everyone like this?" she demanded, fur bristling, ears flattening. "Don't you realize what you're doing? Hey? Hey! Look me in the eyes!"
The sullen tom muttered something indistinguishable under his breath and hesitantly met his daughter's gaze. His own flesh and blood. Kin. "I know. But, Iecerin, I need to get out of here."
With a lioness roar, she wrapped a paw around his throat as if to strangle him but stopped short, their noses almost touching as she leaned in to whisper. "Then why aren't you taking me? Admit it--you just don't want anybody in your life! Even Sakura gets to go along? What the dog kibble?"
"I apologize. I was going to tell you but--"
"--But what? You forgot about me. I know you did."
There was no reasoning with her when she was like this.

There was yelling. A harsh, irrational sound. She knew that voice. It was Tammy. Sakura's red red snapped up. She'd been where Boo was burried, thinking about it. It wasn't like she was sorry. Boo had gone bad. Very bad. But she knew that Ray felt horrible. Sakura needed him to know that forgiveness was always one of her stronger features, and he'd already been forgiven. She'd let him know on the way to forever with him. Tammy? No. That couldn't be right. Ierein. A blink of reconization cleared her mind as she heard the faint thump. Someone was hurting someone else. The yelling pair. Ierein and... Ray. In a flash she turned around, and hurdeled over the fence. With a snarl she came over the edge. Teeth and claws beared, she lost control of her anger. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? " Her voice tore the air, an unearthly sound ripping from her chest. All her hairs stood on end, making her look twice as big as she was. Her ears were flat against her skull. She'd kill Ierien if she had to. She could if Tammy - No, Ierien - hurt Ray too much.

Brows arched in minor annoyance and some amusement, Iecerin's lips curled upwards as she watched the she-cat respond so illogically. Since when did Sakura get to be so bold? Frozen solid in the winter air, she wished that snowflakes would fall to the ground to cover up her tracks. There might be blood, she realized. "Oh, how lovely to see you! Has he told you about how he didn't even ask me if I wanted to go along?" She feigned tears; it wasn't hard, and soon those feigned became real. "I just want to get out of here! Why is that so hard for you to understand? I'm sick of living without anyone!"

"Living alone? I'd never be able to do that. I've never lived by myself. I'm too weak for that." Had she siad it aloud, or had she thought it? It was true though. She needed people to depend on, and people who depended on her. Her heart and mind and soul didn't function properly if she didn't have those two things in her life. It was like everything was out of wack, and parts of her were missing. She wasn't whole without those two components of her life. Her anger leaked out of her, like a slowly deflating ballon. All her defenses slowly started to recline, and her whole body which was tensed relaxed.

Glad that she had obviously hit a nerve, Iecerin watched as the pretty she-cat's defense mechanism weakened. Nice to see that I can still win. "Yeah, well, after years of not knowing where your mother or father are, you get used to it. But once you find them? That's when things start to crumble." Making a point out of glaring at Ray, she burrowed into his mind frame, trying to understand what was running through.
Hackles raised, Sakura's anger had transfered itself to Ray. The sheer gaul of the kit... "Iecerin," he flatly intoned. "I'm sorry for what happened. But it's not my fault. I didn't know she was pregnant."
"Well you didn't stick around very long to find out, did you?"
Seeing where things were going, he sighed and gave up. "Fine. Come along. If you'll both follow me..."
"Follow you? You're going where?"
"The mountains."
"Then I'll lead the way. Like you honestly know where they are." She scoffed at such a notion while he tried not to murder her.

ooc: "mountians" aka the clans?
Mountians. Rock, harsh weather. She smiled widely at the idea of getting out of they cozy, sweetly sickening houses. "I know where they are." Sakura pipped up. She had been there before, a couple of times when her humans had taken her to their summer home. It was awful, the way up in the cramped monster, but once she was up there, it was wonderful. The air was clean, the water was fresh, she'd even caught a mouse once or twice. "I mean, Ierien, if you ever get lost, I have us covered."
The look Ray gave her wasn't quite as satisfying as she thought it would be. It was half-way thankful and half filled with anger. Was he mad at her? If Ierin was going, did that mean she was booted out? Immediatly she voiced these thoughts. "Unless you'd rather I not come." There was a tone to her words, an edge that was rusty, but sharp.
ooc: Sakura's on my hit list. Any thoughts to go about it?

ooc: Possibly. I was thinking further away, though, not really affiliated. But I don't care. And--erm--a mountain lion could eat her? XD
bic: Tail hitting the ground with a thud, the fiery she-cat's ears pressed flat to her skull as she howled in frustration. "Iecerin! My name's Iecerin!" She was about to say more, but the look that Ray told her to shut up, that it honestly didn't matter. Scowling, she cussed under her breath and kicked up dirt before calming down.
"Sorry," he apologized, glaring at his insolent offspring. "I don't mind if you come. I don't." His voice was almost hollow, devoid of emotion, but there remained a spark to it. Had he been cut by her razor? He couldn't tell. "Lead the way?"

ooc: ....oh . im so sorry. ive been spelling your cats name wrong this whole time. omg. my dyslexia is sooo bad.
That was directed to her? No. To Iecerin. Right. Sakura bowed her head anyways, towards Iecerin so they could start heading out. If she didn't move fast enough, then Sakura herself would move the group.
