It was only the start of GreenLeaf and FadedSong already left as if her pelt was going to burst into flames. Huffing slightly, she mumbled under her breath as she padded into camp with a rabbit hanging limply in her strong jaws. Tossing it into the fresh kill pile, she noticed how bear camp seem to be now. Sighing heavily, she wondered over to the great oak tree that she often hung out around during hot GreenLeaf days. Laying down, she let her only eye look around camp in a calm matter. Even though FadedSong was a young warrior, she had seen a great deal of horros in her life from her parents fighting, their deaths, and well as an own clanmate attacking her. Thus was the reason why she only had one eye well as an ear and a half. There was bear skin around where her second eye should be well as her half horn ear. Many were shocked that she did not become a warrior, but like her father Cloudstar, she bore a warrior's heart that forced her to press on no matter what happen with her body.
Sighing contently, she began to wash herself wondering what was going to happen with the clan now that GlassStar was missing. She had been for almost a full season cyle. Would BillowCloud become leader now? Speaking of which, she hadn't seen the rather bitter tom in ages. Maybe she should drop in and talk to him. He was one of the few that did not seem to be scared of her and it made her happy.

Why was it so hot for only being the start of GreenLeaf?!
Feeling overheated and uncomfortable, BrambleEyes padded into the camp with a mouse in his jaws. He dumped it on the fresh-kill pile and then headed straight for the shade. Normally he would find a dry sunny patch and take a nice, long nap, but not today. With a rather irritated sigh he flopped down under the great oak tree, finding comfort in the shade that the leaves offered. It was only after he had settled in that he realized he was not alone.
"Oh - sorry, I didn't notice you," he mewed cheerfully, sitting up again. It was then that he realized that it was FadedSong. "Um, hi," BrambleEyes said, feeling uncomfortable. She was an odd looking she-cat, that was for sure; he didn't hold her appearance against her, it was just that he was getting used to seeing her.

FadedSong looked over at BrambleEyes with a warmth in her eye as he spoke towards her. "It is quite alright, come sit down, there is plenty of room under this oak," she replied in a soft and gentle tone. Bowing her head slightly, her eye darted away from him before her neck twisted slightly so that her distoried face could not be seen. She knew what cats thought of her face and knew that if they could not see it, they were more at ease with her. There was only one cat that still treated her the same through every heart beat, but he was gone. Missing if you will.
"How was the hunting?" she questioned. "I found my hunt was quite easy. The prey seem to just love this horrible hot air." Making a face, she chuckled slightly as her tail curled with asument.

Perched in his usual area on the bordering tree-stump post section, Billowcloud gazed sympathetically at the dehydrated Clanmembers attempting to cool off. If only they lived a bit closer to the water... Sighing, he sprawled out on his back, loving the warmth. Unlike most of his Clanmates, he seemed to enjoy the sweltering sun beating down on his skin and fur. Then again, he had always had a thin pelt and was thus rarely ever over-heated. BrambleEyes and Fadedsong seemed to be making smalltalk nearby. Squinting through the sun's rays, he forced himself to do his duties and interact with his Clanmates.
"Nice weather, huh?" he called to the tom and she-cat. Padding over with as little speed as he could muster, he felt drained of every ounce of energy he had ever had. Evil sun.

FadedSong turn her gaze towards the deputy as he padded up to them. Chuckling, she bowed her head slightly in a silent greeting before giving her answer to his grand statement. "It is quite wonderful for a clan like OceanClan I'm sure, but here in the forest, it is to warm." Twitching her tail with delight, both ears twitched slightly from a warm breeze. "Not even the breeze is cool," she muttered giving a slight frown before flicking her tail in different directions. "Please Billowcloud, take a seat. There is quite a bit of room." she said in a gentle voice. How strange for a she-cat like FadedSong to act so kind and friendly with a clan who looked at her with great disgust. Maybe this made her the better warrior?

Nodding, the tom situated himself next to Fadedsong. Sniffing the air, he could smell nothing, he realized in self-mocking amusement. "It won't be long before it's freezing cold. We can't even begin to fathom the weird patterns of weather." Shaking his head, he wondered how anyone could dislike the friendly she-cat. Was it because of her kind nature, or was it because she was different? Such discriminatory behavior appalled him. Calming himself down internally, he looked with interest at the she-cat, waiting for a response.

The white pelted tom was without his usual tag along friend today. Black Strike had decided to go pratice some fighting moves alone, working on his movement, leaving Whitesoul alone in camp for the time being. The tom didn't mind his friend being out and about. That gave him time by himself. In fact, the warrior was pulling himself from his nest, jaws parting in a yawn. His spiked fur was all over the place, as usual, and no amount of grooming was about to fix that.
So, just shaking pieces of moss from his pelt, Whitesoul padded out into the camp, wrinkling his nose at the heat. He could stand it better than some cats. His pelt, with the way his fur stuck up all over the place, allowed the hot air to travel through without trapping too much of the heat, and the light color of his pelt didn't aborb it as much as darker fur did.
The warrior took a quick glance around camp. It was pretty barren except for a group of three cats chatting around the oak tree. Whitesoul recognized the form of the deupty, Billowcloud, along with Brambleeyes and Fadedsong. They didn't look like they needed any more company. Too many cats would just up the heat in that area. Still, the tom didn't feel like leaving camp and taking part in any physical activity that would just make him hotter than he already was. So, he dropped down into a stretch, another yawn leaving him, before just simply letting out a meow of, "Hey."

Raising his head in greeting, Billowcloud purred contentedly as yet another joined their throng. "Hello, Whitesoul. You seem to be faring well." Whiskers twitching in amusement, the crotchety elder had toned it down quite a bit. He even took pleasure in the everyday matters of his Clanmates. The role of deputy was finally growing to shape his needs and fit his lifestyle...or lack of a lifestyle. He was still bitter about certain matters of his life, but now was not the time to let them spoil such a rare moment of freedom.
ooc: So, I've got this cat for this Clan whom I've probably only ever role-played once before (Borderfrost); does anyone have a cat who wouldn't mind mating with her?

ooc//I have a few toms that Borderfrost can mate with. Some like your cat, has only been rped once or ages ago.
bic//FadedSong chuckled towards BillowCloud’s statement which caused her tail to curl with amusement. “You are correct,” she said as she moved her head to look at the deputy. Her green eye just beamed with delight showing she was quite happy he did not look frighten or disgusted to sit around her. Though even as an apprentice, the bitter warrior showed kindness towards her which brought her joy. “Well if we learn everything there is to know, then life would be boring,” she cooed before noticing another warrior padding towards him. Turning her head, she spotted it was WhiteSoul. Bowing her head, she gave a welcoming mew. “Hello Whitesoul,” she said with a warm smile on her scarred muzzle. She was just a simple warrior, though her heart burn with a passion to grand the role of clan leader. She always did, back when her father was leader, she would tell him everyday she would be like him and greater. She still wanted to full fill that promise she made all those moons ago, but for now, the clan needed someone that was calm and kind. Warm hearted to keep peace between clan members. She was that cat…at least for now.

ooc: Okay. That could work. Do you have a specific one in mind?
bic: Nodding his head in agreement, the mud-colored tom scooted over, making room between himself and Fadedsong. "Still, I'd prefer it if we could have some sort of insight as to how it all works. There has to be more to it than StarClan willing it to happen." Shrugging, he tried not to think about such things too often. In this setting, however, he had to give in; he was abnormally comfortable, he realized, socializing with others. Perhaps it was because he was in a higher position now and realized that he had to know the inner workings of his Clanmates. Change doesn't always come on its own.

With a silent nod the white tom took the spot that had been made between Billowcloud and Fadedsong. He listened in on the conversation, not quite sure what the chat was about. He had picked up something about Starclan and cold while coming over. In this heat, it was hard to imagine any other type of weather. So many cats were probably wishing for some sort of relieve from the hot air.
Whitesoul gave the two a small smile in greeting, sleep still hanging over him. Alright, he wasn't the easiest cat to wake up, but the heat was making things a tad bit worse. Now the bitter cold, that was good to get a cat awake. "The heat just loves making cats miserable," he mumbled, flicking an ear. "No one should be working on a day like this." Still, clan activities had to be completed. Hunting, patrol, and the training of apprentices.

Billowcloud's eyes opened fully at Whitesoul's words, both literally and figuratively. "You're right. Maybe I could convince GlassStar to decree this one day as a kind of celebration. To commemorate those who've died and fought nobly for this Clan and to give everyone some time off. One day shouldn't hurt anything. Besides, nobody seems to be doing all that much." With a satiated sigh, he gazed at the friends surrounding him. Friends--a word that he had dared not use so loosely before but now found himself using more and more frequently.

“GlassStar,” mumbled FadedSong as her eye studied the leader’s den for a moment before returning her gaze onto her Clanmates. “Speaking of GlassStar, where has she been?” she said giving BillowCloud a testing stare. She did have hopes that the leader was StarClan awful sick and was on her last life so she might have a chance to become deputy, but that was only slim. Her father CloudStar disappeared for almost four seasons before he came back. He had changed and became sick. All the white tom said is that he went on a quest for StarClan. Pity hit her heart as both ears lowered themselves to her skull praying that the gray she-cat would not fall to the same faint. She would hate to see the calm level headed she-cat become crazed and bitter. Twitching her nose, she let out a heavy sigh before shrugging her shoulders.

Jostled from his mind's inner ramblings, Billowcloud could barely hear what had been asked. Oxygen seemed to be taking a while to get to his mind; he had forgotten to breathe. Inhaling and exhaling, the words began to flow through his ears: GlassStar...where...she....been? "Oh, GlassStar? She's been tucked away for a while now. I don't know if it's really worth disturbing her in her state right now just for this; I just thought it'd be nice and wasn't really thinking." Warmth rushed throughout his body, an unwelcome boiling sensation. The temperature was harsh enough; he felt as if he would melt into a puddle on the ground, all because of something foolish he had dared to utter.

"There might be some disagreement to that," Whitesoul pointed out to Billowcloud. "Not all cats may want to sit back and relax when the other clans might be up to something." It was a valid point, and while cats would listen to their leader, there would still be some that didn't like it. His tail flicked, curling over his paws as an ear twitched towards Fadedsong.
Their leader had been absent for some time. That couldn't be good. "Let's hope something didn't happen to Glassstar. That's the last thing Rogueclan needs right now." The white warrior sighed. What was with Rogueclan and disappearing leaders?
